Joanne (Jo) grew up in Cowell, South Australia. She has completed a BA in Library & Information Science, Diploma in Library Science, Graduate Certificate in Business Management, Diploma in Management, and a Colloquium in Leadership. Jo has worked in school, state, special and public libraries in SA, NT and NSW. Jo most recently managed the largest Regional Library per head of population in NSW for the past 10 years. This role focused on managing the Library Service for the Local Government Areas of Lismore, Tweed, Ballina, and Byron which included 11 public libraries, a mobile library and an administration centre. Jo has relocated back to Eyre Peninsula, basing herself in Port Lincoln to be closer to family and to reconnect with ‘old’ friendships. Jo has been working in an administrative role with Eyre Accounting Services since November 2021.

Jo enjoys walking, beaching, kayaking, gardening and creating mosaics when she has time.
